i just can't believe my eyes

i was given the chance to see things that i never thought i could have seen, step on the land that i thought i would have never landed on. it was a great honor to be here, thank you God for this. Alhamdulillaaaaah. I seriously had lots of fun. Thanks to my crew as well, Nasri Muben, Farissa and Sarah.

GOD I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I'VE BEEN TO THESE PLACES. I'm just gonna summarize a bit cause i'm gonna go to bed in 5 mins, my head is spinning right now. tired. but i still can't get enough of this trip. i flew off from toronto to san francisco. we reached the airport at almost midnight local time. it's 3 hours ahead here than toronto's time. reached the hotel with a 'present' from the finals. the fever. damn finals. caused me a fever for two days. so not cool man :|

i was greeted by san francisco's craziest geography, the lombard street. had to climb up the super steep street, i think it's inclined at like 65 or 70 degrees. crazy, with my huge backpack on my back, i almost broke my back that night. the view was SO beautiful at night. lights from houses, buildings and bridges.

we took the train or street car or whatever that was, which was a 100% man-powered vehicle. cost us $5 each. bapak expensive. it was a nice experience but i hate the sound that the thing produce when it started to slow down to stop or when it was climbing up the hilly road. felt like my ears were torn apart because of that sound.

went shopping on the next day. We also went to this beach where you get to view the whole golden gate bridge. GOD IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. i still can't believe that i had actually seen the famous red bridge with my own eyes.

golden gate as our background

look how bright the colour is

Also went to this place called Fishermen's Wharf where you could find seafood being sold every corner of the street and some talented peformers playing instruments and singing and all. Tried the famous clam chowder and crab chowder served in a hollow bread. i think crab chowder is the BEST.

Also paid the mechanical museum a visit where they have all those arcade games machines including the antique ones and also the ones that we have nowadays in the shopping mall etc. i read a comment from one of the visitors to that place that says, "This place is fucking awesome!" Well i totally agree with him about that. I never thought that people who lived decades ago were so creative. their arcade games are not like todays stuff. their stuff didn't only involve screen and LEDs and buttons to control the game, some of them are highly mechanical. one of this machine has a doll inside a glass that would laugh like some crazy person when you put in a quarter in it. we had our best laugh when sara tried watching some old time movie XXX which was extremely mechanical, hahahah there was like a box that has a small glass where you could place your head over it and look into the box, at the same time you'll have to crank the handle on the box and you'll see like a movie in a form of moving pictures. and the best part is that, there was nothing so XXX about it! Hahaha, it's just a guy who tried to tackle this girl and the girl was pissed off so she kicked the hell out of him. hahah how XXX was that. Seriously. stomach cramp for me after that.

gosh, i don't have the time to upload the pictures. there are so many of them. and i said i'll go to bed in like 5 mins. it's more than half an hour already. i guess i have to stop now, but i am such a forgetful person. i'll remind myself of what i need to highlight in my next entry here then. next, i'll talk about asian art mesuem, alcatraz, haight-ashbury, san diego, laguna beach, highway with car and GPS, and...hollywood los angeles.

good night everyone, later. oo btw, my marks. not so happy with my physics :(( but i got A+ for my french. I'm so happy. ouiiiiiiiii :D au revoir

Lynn + Link = Lynk :D:D:D

I wanna go into the world of the legend of zelda. and meet link. or perhaps beat him and become the chosen one in green tunic. i wanna be the rightful bearer of the triforce of courage. the master sword. I wanna have my own boomerang. i wanna have my own sword. i wanna have my own fishing rod. my own shield. i wanna blow the flower so that it sings a melody that would summon the eye of the sky, the eagle. i wanna blow another flower so that epona could gallop gracefully to me in the northern wind. i wanna turn into a wolf whenever i feel like the world is too much for me to live in as a human. i wanna meet midna and bully her. i wanna meet zelda and tour around hyrule.

arghhhh i'm in love with link ^_^

*melting*

Link I love youuuuuuuuuuu

The evolution: From pixels that you could count by hand, to a handsome almost humanly figure (damn it, sempitnye dunia blog ni, click picture for full view)

A real one? Those people from IGN just gave a heart-attack. There's a movie trailer. check it ouuuuut!

:O Link youuuu, are you cheating on me? Grrrrr

I'm trying to decide whether i should be the one in green or pink. hm....(click picture)

So here is the movie trailer. i swear my heart just fell onto the floor and suddenly there was like a black hole appeared on the floor and sucked in my heart into the dark abyss of the heart of the earth when i watched this trailer. I seemed to hold my breath when i watched it until the end, and as i searched more about it on google like i was going crazy over it, i seriously would download the movie right away if there is one.

man, i can't describe my feelings 5 minutes ago man, i literally threw away my math book and just lock my eyes on joker and google and google and google. and it turned out that the trailer is just a prank :| and i was like faaaaaaaaaaaaaak. damn it. but a nice one though. would have been reaaaaaaally awesome if they do film the legend of zelda. oh well...back to math now... :(

please i want to dream of hyrule tonight. i'm so sick and tired of math....

Tadika Perancis

I'm going to write this for my french essay tomorrow. Wish me luck mes amis! (Man, somebody who speaks french would probably laugh his/her ass off when reading this. But i"m proud of myself :D:D:D)

Statics Mechanics

Question #1
Linda's brain is made of steel with an allowable shearing stress of 80MPa, and the medula oblongata CD is made of brass with an allowable shearing stress of 50MPa. Determine;
(a) The largest torque T which may be applied at A, if the allowable stress is not to be exceeded in her medula oblongata
(b) The corresponding required value of the diameter of Linda's brain

Question#2
Linda's solid brain is subjected to the distributed and concentrated torsional loadings. Determine the required diameter of Linda's brain if the allowable shear stress for the material is 175MPa.

Question #3
The material properties associated with Linda's brain are E = 50 GPa, and Poisson=s Ratio v = 0.33. Knowing that σx = -180 MPa, determine;
(a) The magnitude of σy for which the change in the height of Linda's brain will be zero,
(b) The corresponding change in the area of Linda's brain,
(c) The corresponding change in the volume of the Linda's brain.

Somebody calculate this for my brain. My brain is having torsion, shear and normal stresses all at the same time right now :|

stupid internet

it was so stupid of me to type in *toot* in the search box and google it. now i have all the guilt in the world pressurizing my lungs, causing inactivity in my brain. i really can't study right now. after what happened at Mac. and now this. idiot.

right now, i feel so bad that there is somebody at the end of the world who still treasure somebody when a so called best friend here could not appreciate the person's presence and sacrifices at all. shame on you. i really don't deserve this. somebody else does. and it just fucking annoys me that until this very day i still can't fucking get a grip on this fucking matter, cause i still believe that i have taken probably the thorniest path in my life. i never thought it would be this hard. this is hard. this is fucking hard.

wishes are still desired.

wish

i wish i was a cat. but that would make me an ungrateful human being. so i'm changing my statement, i wish i could turn into a cat, whenever i feel like. transform into a cat. and sleep. and play. and eat.

being a human is so... tiring. cause some humans are so sensitive they drive me crazy every time i made a mistake. like, i'm going crazy right now. crazy! aaaaaaa. humans. curse.

okay linda, now go into the cave, and never leave the cave.

right now, i wish somebody never knew me.

i really really really wish i could turn back time.

bad linda bad

yeah kok leong, you're right. hahah, racism is not good. i know that but i was just so stressed out yesterday my emotions took over me easily, and thus the previous entry. well i guess it is just some people's nature that they couldn't really help themselves from being too loud. i just hope those people would realize when they are interrupting people around them. I'm okay right now. No more hatred, it only lasted for like 3 hours. that was yesterday. I apologize to those people even though i didn't really specify which one. if you've ever been through what i had, you could sorta guess it correctly. i was wrong, that was so childish of me to think that way. I am sorry. Just a reminder to myself and everyone else, don't make too much noise when you're at a public place especially library,  i mean we can laugh, we can talk and joke around, but not for the whole 2 or 3 hours :| control our voice, be considerate.

really i used to hate people who bad mouth other races, and look what i've become yesterday. it's funny that i found it almost true that if we hate something, one day we'll probably be doing it or become it. so i guess, don't hate? just go against. not hate. eliminate hatred in this world.

get it, linda?

racism in me

I'm at Thode right now, and I can feel deep inside of me that I am developing hatred towards this one particular race. I'm so stressed out. Bisin alu jak sidak ya! Bodo, kelaka sikboh la mok kuat2 ilak sora ya, bebelit telinga aku denga bahasa tak org ya, dah jak tetak sigek library denga. Lamak da aku besaba, pikey mok kaji gik, maybe kebetulan jak sigek group ya bisin gilak kedak ya ria, tapi dah lamak da aku polah pemerhatian tok, nang mala muka sidak jak molah bisin rah library tok. Sial na juak.

They changed me. I'm starting to make generalizations.

die!

mosfet. how do you fabricate one? lithography or epitaxy. why do i have to study this thing? remind me one more time why am i in this program. everything's going smaller and smaller. last time a computer used to be as huge as a football field. and now, my joker for example, is so small and cute i get a lot of compliments from people who set their eyes on it. why do people favor smallness nowadays? i think my brain is getting smaller too. great, my brain really follows latest trends. i'm just complaining cause i am forced to do some research for my eng phys assignment. when i say research, it means a lot of reading. and i don't like to read. so, this is when distractions always get my attention you know like jeylo and facebook. or blogs. or youtube. i like this course though. it just amazed me how we can grow nanowires, i repeat grow (that's very wierd to imagine) and the fact that the thing is actually thinner than a strand of human hair just makes me feel so dumb. i mean, is it even working? looks like it's not going to do any function cause it's too small. but this just proves how ignorant i was all these times. of course it'll work you fool, it's the movement of the electrons that generates the current, and electrons are like so small you would need TITAN to see one, and you won't be able to tell if it's colourful or not cause what you'll see would only be shades grey and white which represents the intensity of the reflected beam. and we have one at Mac. I'm so proud of it :D TITAN, nice name by the way. okay now back to work. nano-pet. i wonder if i can own one. euw, all i see is a flea. hahah, a flea as my nano-pet. i would need an electron microscope in my room then. where the hell am i going to sleep? just try placing the word 'nano' in front of anything that you could think of. and try to imagine how it would look like and how you would interact with it. haha. nano-boyfriend.

molecular beam epitaxy here i go! oo btw, it's great that we can build something that is extremely small that we become 'blind' at some scale, but when things get too small, they could then easily enter our body and cause things that we would really want to avoid such as brain damage, etc. i read that somewhere, not sure if it's true or not. but that kinda worries me. it kinda makes sense to me. and i just read an article in time magazine about the use of plastic. how dangerous it could be to us. scared the shit out of me. but everything around me is plastic dude! who the hell came up with the ideas of creating one anyways? damn you, you're killing people slowly, man. science kills!

everything seems wrong where did i go wrong how am i going to get there safely if i keep on taking the wrong directions i want to do something about this but i can't seem to find where to start so i am basically taking the wrong turn over and over again until i finally got kicked in the face i became so lost i forgot when's the last time my head disembarked on my very own pillow my bed mon lit je ne suis pas contente pourqoui je ne sais pas i smell a betrayal i did i betrayed my own belief i did what i had to but i think everything that i've done was all useless i covered myself but behind this an evil lurking controlling when did i start to become so weak like this what is my problem right now i wish i could run away go somewhere new but where to this place this ground where i stand on does not belong to me i don't even deserve the air that i breathe right now somehow i want to make the best out of my life out of my abilities and capacity at least try to but most of the time i lose myself easily it's like evaporating in a cold room but the real question here am i going to get there will i ever reach the end line i've been in this race for less than 365 days and i have more than 365 reasons why i should just let the surrounding takes control over me where am i standing right now where are the pictures the pieces of dreams that are built up since a decade ago i have to find them back i need to get them back in this frame i can't go back to where i came from so i need to keep on walking on this road of shattered glasses even though it hurts i'm just going to have to be biased this time around i need something to wake me up make me realize that there is more than this why do i keep doing that i'm trying to stop stay away from the invisible thorns only i and the other possible observer are able to feel and see these directly they are like attached here forever on my forehead but i promise to take it off as soon as possible but i just need the strength cause i can't seem to generate any energy for now even if i took une dozaine de la full throttle my life is just so wrong right now and it has been like this for the past i don't know 8 months excluding summer god what have i become now the only thing that worries me right now if i were given enough time to do something about it or maybe i was given more than enough time to move on but i was so blind and deaf no my heart was blind and deaf and maybe dead already i am just worried if i could never ever going to revive it again what would happen to me a sinful sinner in a sea of sins god please give me the strength and please answer my sincere prayer answer me answer me answer me T_T

She's The One

And this entry is dedicated to my mother who turns 46 today. Mommy, awet muda, caya la mom! I'm taking a rest from my lab report. Aaaa :| I don't like writing lab reports... So, back to my mum. They had another dinner to celebrate her birthday. I YMed her this morning after sahur, she said they're going to Hong Kong Restaurant at Crown Square. I miss the longan with milk that they serve in that restaurant. Aaaa sedap. The second time for me not celebrating their birthdays. It's been two years.

OMG, I am so far away from my family. What am I doing here in Canada? How the hell did I get here? (OoO) I suddenly feel puzzled for a while. Wow. My life is interesting.

We both enjoy shopping

Secret recipe, Shah Alam. God, I miss this moment T_T

Greenyyy, this was taken in the toilet of National Museum. Mom lepas melepas je kene panggil akak posing depan cermin, hahahah!

Back to main purpose of this entry, I want to wish my mommy, happy birthday mommy!!! I love you so much, and I'm sorry I don't have anything for you this year. I should have sent you something...But I am too damn busy with my studies here I wish that there's thanks giving every week, so that I can have a longer weekend...I really need to catch up cause I missed a few lectures. Ngaaa kantoi I woke up late. Oh well... once again mommy, I pray for your health and happiness always. Be strong about the cats, I was sad to hear about them, too. But things had gotten out of our hands. I'm sure they will survive. Okeh, back to work!

Mommy I love you so much! *Hugs* Muuuuah

Blood Brother

I'd like to dedicate this entry to my one and only brother, Ameer Aswad bin Anuar who turns 18 today (well, yesterday actually, cause Canada is 12 hours behind Malaysian time). I kind of miss him. Haha, I'm sure he misses me too. How could I not miss him, he's my only brother. I miss jamming in his room together. We always started our jamming session with me as a drummer while he played the guitar. Drumming is not my area of expertise. So is the guitar to Amey. So our warming up session started with the same song every time. Amey only knows how to play lead for lagu hari raya, which is somehow interrupted by chinese new year song lead after the chorus. I would just do some simple drumming that my ears think would fit in the songs. The 2 in 1 song seemed to have no ending. So after we got tired of the repetitive verse and chorus of raya song mixed with chinese new year song, we would then switch places. Having the guitar in my arms felt so right. And eying my brother behind the drum set. Euphoric.

I miss going out with him. Since he got himself a driving license, I retired as one of the drivers in that house. I love it when we went shopping together. Yup surprisingly. He's sort of a metrosexual guy. It would take him some time to do his hair before going out for a dinner, or a movie, or bowling or whatever. He cares about his appearance. Very much. Hahah.

I also miss the time when we watched funny video clips together. Laughed out loud till we cried some tears, had stomach cramp and lost our breath. Pretending like we don't have any neighbours next door. Exchanging stories about our friends. Talking about our favourite bands.

I miss my brother :|

I hope he's doing fine with his studies. I know he's a clever boy. He's way better at chess than me. But I think lots of 'A's is not just his style. I'm proud of him though. As long as he could still further his studies. I always pray for his success.

Waiting for mommy and daddy in the car

The current full time driver

No need to go to a car workshop, we have our own mechanic

Always prasan he looks tough

He's got lots of fans you know... :D

Happy birthday Amey, love you! Muah.

I like Canada

School :) I like school. My profs are cute, funny, and you know how teenagers love to describe things that they like as 'cool'? Yeah, they are cool people. Haha. My math teacher looks like the guy in the TV series Numb3rs, yeah the one with curly hair, writes combination of random numbers and alphabets and even weird characters on the chalkboard. Except that he's thinner and he speaks with a foreign accent. Maybe Spanish. Could be. My Engineer course prof who has a strong British accent is funny. Another Engineer course prof looks like a gym instructor. And he usually wears slightly tight t-shirt XD My physics prof is the one who taught me physics as well last year. And, my french prof, I like it when she pronounces English words frenchy-ly. The juniors are doing fine. We rarely meet since last week. Maybe we should have like some sort of a meeting. And play games? Boardgames, perhaps. I have Jenga in my room. Let me know if you want to go for a round or two. I know you guys want to... :D

The girls, the one with white shirt looks younger than the rest eh?

The Welcome Week was not over yet last week. They had inter-residence and inter-faculty bedraces going on. I went to Alexisonfire concert that week. Oh my God. Alexisonfire is like my favourite band, and I just found out that they are from Canada and I just couldn't believe my eyes that I was actually there, watching them performing, singing along with them. They are just sick. And awesome that night. Thank God! I love McMaster. Here is the link to one of the videos taken by Bulu. Will upload others later. When I have free time. If I ever. Alexisonfire, I love *_*

*Melting*

I bought plush slippers for indoor use. I couldn't resist Spongebob's yellowness so I took them to the counter and paid around $20 for them. Books. I bought Classical Mechanics for 100 bucks and also French courseware which comes with a CD. I hate the fact that the CD contains exactly the same notes that are also in the textbook. And there's no audio features which I think are useful for pronunciation practice. And yet it costs $100. Rich people getting richer :|

Spongebob

Physics, I heart you

J'ètudie le Francais avec toi, oui oui

My room is not anymore incomplete. I bought a coffee table with two end tables from Kijiji.ca for $20. I don't want to use a chair. So I bought a coffee table. I can just sit on my fluffy sheep skin rug. Baa baa black sheep in my room. Hahah that one is genuine sheepskin, from Auckland babe...hahah got that for $100. Man, I spend a lot eh? But anyways, I love my room, although its kind of small, but it's okay. I spend most of my time in library or student center on campus, my room is just like a motel. I only sleep and shower in that house. And sometimes cook and eat.

Baa baa black sheep

What else... oh yeah. I have a new girlfriend. Yeah, I'm a lesbian.

Nah, I was just kidding. My new girlfriend is in fact my new guitar. Electric acoustic. Or semi-acoustic, some people like to call it. Her name is Jeylo. Inspired by Jennifer Lopez's butt. Cause Jeylo's got a huge butt, which I like :D cause that enables it to produce beautiful sound. Rich and deep sound. I like I like. She blew my bank account away. Including bag, Steve's Music snatched $400 from me, in just a blink of an eye.

Jeylo baby

Whoa, buttons

Isn't she beautiful

Big butt, like it's owner

Guitar cap Ovation

Oh yeah, we took some pictures today at Mac, in our baju rayas. The guys somehow didn't want to join us. Whatever. What a bunch of, unsporting kids. You guys are lame. L.A.M.E. What? Shoot me, if you don't like what I'm saying here. We thought of sending in the pictures to Utusan Malaysia, but I doubt our dedication will be posted this year. Maybe next year. But it's okay, we had fun. Although initially it was not that fun to walk around the campus in our eye-catching, gorgeous baju rayas, ahaks :D Well I bet they had never seen anything like that. And we were there in front of Hamilton Hall, posing and acting like nobody really cares. We made a scene for sure. But I guess people just tried to be cool and normal.

So uh, Eid Fitr is coming soon. And it's been almost a month. How's school? Not bad. I'm starting to develop hatred towards mathematics. Math does not make sense. I repeat Math does not make sense. Physics is torturing me, but I still love physics. I don't know why :|

Iftar together
Well, I'm off to bed. Au revoir.

Babaaaaai Kuching ^0^

Malacca Aug 18, 2008

I wanted to wake up early today but unfortunately i didn’t. I went to kampong and tried to help around. I wandered in the kitchen to see if there’s anything that I could help. Peeling off potatoes’ skin, chopping onions. Everybody seemed to have something to do and there seemed to be no other work that can be assigned to me. Grandma wanted somebody to engine coconuts, so I volunteered. Waiting for Acu and the crew (my little cousins, cute!) to take off the coconut shell was quite boring, so i decided to join the men’s crew who did the goat’s chopping and slicing. This was in fact not one easy task. It’s nothing near to chopping vegetables, you need to sort off slide your knife on the meat back and forth. Believe me your hands will wear off especially if you get the part that has some fats attached to the meat. Violence wouldn’t get you anywhere cause your knife would simply bounce off the meat, that why you need to be patient, and keep sliding and sliding and sliding the knife. Dad who worked on parts with bones definitely needed some violence to break them. And I got splashed a few times by blood since i was working opposite to him on the table.

After that i just hung out with my aunties and uncles, gossiping. I heard that on of my kampong friends had already married at the age of 16. That was scary, like really scary. She is still very young. Don’t tell me 16 is not young anymore. Hahah. The reason to get married is not really pleasant to talk about. So let’s move on and leave the horrible nightmare. Hahaha.

I didn’t realize that atok keeps a pair of rabbits until he talked about it. Iquickly asked him where he keeps them and abruptly jumped off the chair to look for them. They are sooooo cute like crazy pig. Both are not local breed, according to mak teh. Arnab New Zealand, she said. Hahah. I tried to catch them in the cage. Dad said, hold its ears! I couldn’t do it. I said, I caaaan’t, it’ll be painful for the rabbit. Hahah and Atok yelled, tak ade la! Just hold the ears. You don’t want to get scratched by it. Well of course Atok spoke Malacca malay which most people thought or considered to sound very harsh and rude. To me, the language sounds so cool :D At first the rabbit tried to run a way from me but I tried to calm it down, and hold it close to me to make it feel comfortable. And finally it calmed down. I couldn't escape the scratching though. Photo session then was then initiated with Mak Uda as the cameraperson, using her bulky N95 phone.

After that i went into the house to find a fan. Desperately needed a fan to dry up my sweat. Hahah. I found a perfect spot in Mak Uda’s room. While I was resting on the bed, came my cousins and Mak Uda into the room. And another photo session took place. After the photo session ended, I couldn’t stand the tiredness and eventually fell asleep. When I woke up it was already 4.30pm. i cursed under my breath, knowing that I missed Zohor prayer. Then I went into the dining room and joined my family members who were enjoying durian ice-cream. The durian ice-cream is indeed made of pure durian. It is durian, put into freezer. Thanks to grandma, we were able to enjoy durian even though it is not durian season right now. Thank you God, I could have some durians before I go back to the west next week. Hahah.

Later that evening, Grandma asked Acu to pick some rambutans at the back of the house, next to sheeps coop. She then ordered Mak Uda, and me to assist Acu. So off we went. Mak Uda actually climbed up the rambutan tree because she said she misses climbing up trees. For a 30+ year old woman, she has the guts, man. Hahah, she actually walked on a thin branch to reach for the rambutans. Rambutan branches really amaze me. While picking the rambutans, Mak Uda told me the story of how Mak Lang and Mak Teh fell off a tree when they were kids one time ago. The branch that they sat on actually snapped broke off and both of them fell down along with the branch, onto the ground. Hahaha. Dude, they were really some naughty kids one time ago, especially Mak Lang. I heard that she even got thrown off by a bull because she disturbed the bull’s calf. Actually i heard lots of stories about Mak Lang’s mischievious behaviour. Hahah, looking at her nowadays, it is indeed very unbelievable to hear that she was such a kid more than two decades ago.

Later at night, I went back to kampong again and I found that Mak Lang and family had gone back to Kluang. I heard that Pak Teh plans to go to Johor next week after Mak Teh comes back from her Kelantan school trip. I guess my plan to go to Kelantan and meet aunty Roy and Nisya’s mom might just be a plan, without any actions. A bus trip to Kelantan would take up to 8 or 9 hours. And I don’t think I can afford to stay inactive in a bus for the whole 8 hours when next week I’ll have to stay inactive again for almost 22 hours in flight. Maybe I’ll go to KL for a day or two and that’s it. I actually hope that Aunty Roy and Nisya’s mom would coincidently have a trip KL so that we can just meet up somewhere in KL. Hahah, which is very impossible to occur.

I have a plan for tomorrow. Amey and I are going to colourize our hair using inai at the back of Atok’s house. The leaves would have to be crushed using a lesung batu. Once you notice that the leaves turn into something that looks like cow’s shit, then that’s the time to stop. After all of the leaves have been crushed, then it’s time to put the inai at the tip of fingers, or hair.

Newark Aug 27, 2008

I reached newark airport yesterday night at around 10pm. Besides Pao, there were also Joe and Pujen (I always mistakenly said Pejan) with us. They are RITians. I met Pao a few times before this. We had some sort of magical histories together and here’s how it goes. Last year when I was on my flight to Canada, I met Pao in Stockholm but I did not say hi to her. I just told Yusuff that I noticed some Malaysian students when we were queing for the scan. And then, as we reached Newark International Airport (EWR), I said hi to her and we had a short talk about which University we’re going to, who’s sponsoring, stuff like that. Then during winter break, I went on a road trip to US with my friends. We took Greyhound to Rochester from Toronto. At Rochester, I stayed for only a quarter day at Pao's house. And we met again when I went to Chicago. We were kind of shocked to see each other again cause she didn't mention to me that she's going to Chicago when I stayed at her house. But I didn't say anything too about my trip which includes Chicago. Funny. And during summer break, we contacted each other through facebook and guess what, we had the same flight. If one of us was not a girl, i think there was a chance for us to be a couple. hahaha.

We planned to stay at the airport till our next flight early in the morning. But suddenly I made a suggestion to rent a room at a hotel. Well I think at least we would be able to access internet, clean ourselves in the bathroom, sleep for an hour or two on a nice mattress. And surprisingly they agreed. So off we went to Holiday Inn Newark. One room with 2 double beds cost $112, so we paid around $24 each. Took a shuttle bus, which is free to the hotel. And so we lepak until 4.30am, Yusuff and I had to go to the airport again. Pujen and Joe slept but the rest of of us, just sticking eyes on laptop monitor. Hahah.

So we got on board, Air Canada. After an hour and a half, we reached Toronto. From Toronto, we took Go Bus to Square One, as I had an appointment with my landlord to get my house keys. Now this was the part. The stressful and depressing time. I'd call it the most tensioning day in Canada after 4 months selling grapes in Malaysia. I was supposed to meet her at a shopping mall. We haven't decided yet where to meet cause the place (called Square One) is super huge. I was supposed to call her once I got there. But my phone line didn't seem to work. I got message saying "your account is temporarily suspended" each time i tried to call somebody. Fuck Fido! So Yusuff went into the mall to find Fido service centre, and I waited with our luggage at the bus stop. He came back saying that Fido kiosk was not open yet, but he had called Jas (my landlord) for me, and he said that she would wait for me at Second Cup (a cafe) parking lot. She was just going to drop off the keys and then send her husband to workplace. So we went off and looked for the place. We took a turn searching the palce and we couldn't find it. I called her a few times and there was no answer. So I figured it was a house phone number. You see, I changed my phone so I didn't have her cellphone number. I was in Malacca with no internet access for a week, and I asked Yus to do me a favor to find her phone number in my email. And he didn't notice that Jas also gave me her work and cellphone number.

He said, maybe Jas meant Starbucks parking lot, cause she did mention that the place where she was going to wait for me is very near to the Go bus terminal. But she mentioned Second Cup. It didn't make sense at all. So I said, maybe I should check the Starbucks parking lot, and he was like, there's no use in doing that because she told him that she's not going to wait long as her husband had to go to work at 10. It was way past 10 am that moment. So we stayed in Mississauga Transit Bus Terminal, trying to figure out what to do. Both of us were already in a stressful mode. Arguments could then easily break off. In the meantime, Yus went to the kiosk again and fixed the phone problem. Finally it was reliable again. He called Jas again, still no answer. And after like 2 hours, or maybe more, Jas called his phone saying that she had been walking all the way from the Starbucks parking lot. I was like what the fuck? I was right there before this. And I told her about the phone problem, the lost of her cellphone number and about her mentioning Second Cup. So I had no other choice but to take a bus to her house. She gave me the direction. God! Very patience challenging moment. You know when you are stressful enough to have direction and street names that are so not familiar to your hard disk to be shoved into your ears. I had to write them down cause they couldn't go further beyond my eardrums.

I took a bus and called her when I reached the Parkway and Redmond intersection. She found me and walked me to her house. I met her dog who kept on coming near me and sniffing me. Hahah. He's cute. Seeing it made me feel relieved a bit. If it was a cat, I'd get 100% relief cause I'd be able to hug it! :D She offered me juice and then she told me things that I needed to know about the house. And finally I got the KEys and went back to Square One. At approximately 2pm, we got on Go bus to Mac. Finally...When I reached the house, I left my huge luggage and packed my sling bag cause we're going to Toronto so that I could stay with the juniors who just arrived the day before in a hotel. Yus didn't allow me to stay at the house cause my other housemates haven't moved in yet and he was worried about me staying there alone. I was so tired I fell asleep at around 5 and I woke up again at 8.30pm. Actually I'd promised Uncle Deen to meet me at Union Station so that he could drop me off at the hotel at 8 pm. But I woke up at 8.30pm hahah nice. So I got in Toronto kinda late. Around 11, met muben at Tim Hortons (God, I miss Tim's donuts, double double, iced cap, cookies. Dude!). After emptying our coffee cups, the guys sent me off to the hotel. So I met the juniors. I spent a night with only the 2 of them. Girls of course. I still had a hard time to sleep. After running out of ideas talking to them, I tried to update my blog, and in less than 5 minutes, I started to get sleepy. So I slept at 4am.

I'm too lazy to talk about the rest. I just want to show you guys my house. 34, Thorndale Street North, Hamilton, ON. I do not know the postal code. That's one bad news. hahah. I was the first to move in, because the lease starts September, actually. But I moved in a week early. So here are some pictures of my room. I'm paying CAD380 per month for a year.

View from the door. Initiation of unpacking.

View at the door. You can see some toilet rolls!

The CAD150 bed and mattress. With some shit on them.

The Kitchen. Everything is there, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge.

Tadaaaaa. Tired crazy pig after that. The bed seduced me!

I have lots of cute shit eh?

Home Alone Breakfast Aug 30, 2008

I made some pancakes :D well, I used the pre-mixed stuff that I got from Fortinos (something like Tesco or Choice Food Centre in Kuching :D). Just add some water and voila. I'm proud to say that I didn't use any measurement cup and my pancakes tasted like wowwww. Heheh, beware! The pictures could make your mouth water. If your mouth doesn't, you're not a human 0_o

After water was added. Ready to be thrown into the pan.

Started to bubble up, and it's time to flip. Here's the flipped side. Nice eh?

And there it is, spread some butter on it,pour the syrup (brand Aunt Jemima kicks ass) and jeng jeng jeng. Now does your mouth water? Dude, you're drooling man, wipe that!

Will turn into shit in two hours :)

I'm so used to having empty belly, I could only eat one. So I have three left. Pancakes, anyone?

Welcome Juniors Aug 29, 2008

There were 15 of them. Children of JPA.

Welcome to Mac, and Happy Ramadhan. Raya is coming soon! Hikhik. Today, another 3 will arrive. Now, those are my siblings. We are the children of MARA. Hekhekhek :D

Oh yeah, I forgot something! I haven't introduced you guys to my new laptop and camera. Meet Joker and Bulu.

Joker, the Hp Pavilion tx2520au (Aussie version) This costs RM2799 at PC Fair.

Bulu, the Panasonic Lumix DMC - FS3, costs CAD199 plus tax , comes to CAD225.

With Hp SD card 8GB cost CAD28. I think the shop (Future Shop) has gone crazy. A 4GB card costs CAD50 but an 8GB card costs CAD28? Doesn't make sense eh? But it's true. Of course I'd take the 8GB!

Well, hope you guys enjoy this entry. Later!

I miss my family and friends <3
